CITY OF NEWBURGH

City of Newburgh is located sixty miles north of New York City on the western side of the scenic Hudson River in Orange County, New York. It is a small, densely settled community of 3.8 square miles bounded by the Town of Newburgh on the west and north, the Hudson River on the east and Quassaick Creek and Town of New Windsor on the south. NEWBURGH COMMUNITY LAND BANK

Newburgh Community Land Bank is a not-for-profit organization working in the City of Newburgh to bring back vacant, abandoned, and underutilized properties into the community. Working primarily in the downtown Historic Distric north of Broadway, NCLB’s mission is to acquire, manage, and sell back these properties in collaboration with local stakeholders, developers, and governmental agencies. www.newburghcommunitylandbank.org

 

DOWNING PARK PLANNING COMMITTEE

Downing Park Planning Committee is a not-for-profit volunteer organization dedicated to the renewal and full use of Downing Park. The Park is a public landscape and allows for enjoyment of the outdoors in the City of Newburgh. Dating back to 1895, the Park was designated as a tribute to Andrew Jackson Downing by Fredrick Law Olmstead and Calvert Vaux, the designers of Central Park in New York City. www.cityofnewburgh-ny.gov/downingpark
